The Guest/Spouse fee includes the Opening Session, Icebreaker, Exhibition, all coffee breaks, Presidents’ Reception, “Walk & Talk” lunch, and Hospitality Area from Sunday, Oct. 5, through Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Welcome to Lafayette and the 2014 GCAGS Convention. We hope you will take some time to join us in the Hospitality Area located in the Fireplace Lobby at the Hilton Garden Inn (2350 W. Congress St.).

Morning and afternoon refreshments will be available daily. Also, our hostesses will be on hand to answer all of your questions about local restaurants and shopping.

Hospitality Area at the Hilton Garden Inn–Fireplace Lobby: Take the time to have some refreshments with friends while waiting for tours to depart or arrive. Entrance with name badge only.

Note:  All tours will depart from the Hilton Garden Inn.  Please meet in the Main Lobby 15 min. prior to departure time.  If you didn't pre-register, be sure to check at registration to see if there is still room on either of these tours.

Tour of Iberia Parish Gardens, Tabasco Factory, and Antebellum Home

Come explore some of what south Louisiana has to offer! Visit our unique antebellum homes, tropical gardens, and the world renowned Tabasco pepper sauce factory. Avery Island and Jefferson Island are actually two salt domes creating “islands” of high ground that rise above the coastal marshes and sugar cane fields of Iberia Parish. The Shadows on the Teche antebellum home is in the historic district of downtown New Iberia overlooking the beautiful Bayou Teche.

Cajun Food Tours

Experience the flavor of southern Louisiana and laissez les bon temps rouler (let the good times roll) on this fun and tasty 4 hour adventure! You will learn about the history and culture of the tastiest town in the south on this “gastro-tour.” This fun, casual tour includes six tasting stops at local favorites, where you’ll taste many Cajun originals like boudin, étouffée, gumbo, fried seafood, cracklins, and more!
